JEE Advanced

Only the top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) based on their performance in JEE MAIN will qualify to appear in the JEE ADVANCED examination. Admissions to IITs will be based only on category-wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE ADVANCED, subject to condition that such candidates are in the top 20 percentile (category wise) in their respective Boards/Qualifying Examinations.

The JEE (Advanced) exam has two question papers, with three hours allotted to each. Both question papers are set in English as well as Hindi. Both the question papers have three sections each on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions are objective in nature, and test a candidate's comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability. Incorrect answers result in negative marking in some sections.

XII Board results are very important as it has weightage to get admission into the most reputed Engineering Institutes across India.
